Wild Fibers Papermaking Open House :: Sunday, Sept. 8 :: 1-4pm :: FREE
Stop by The Patchwork Underground and get a hands on glimpse of how to make your own paper using wild harvested and cultivated plants. Get familiar with the equipment, the process for turning plants into pulp and dive into the pulp vat to pull sheets to take home. This is a free event intended to introduce folks to the possibilities around handmade paper from local materials. Come for a minute or stay for a few hours, all are invited to attend.
No experience necessary. Kid friendly!
This open house precedes a series of three hand papermaking workshops focusing on locally available plant materials.

ACCESSIBILITY: The Patchwork Underground is within 20 minutes of downtown Asheville. The outdoor workshop spaces are accessed by walking over a textured field, or accessible by vehicle if needed. Indoor restroom facilities are accessible by stairs.
